¿What is the best way to get there?
There are many flights that arrive in the Yucatan area of Mexico. The most direct route is to fly to Chetumal (CTM), usually with a prior stopover in Mexico City. Chetumal Airport is only 15 minutes from the hotel. We can arrange airport transfers or you can rent a car (preferably in advance).
Alternatives to fly directly to Chetumal
With the implementation of the Mayan Train, you can now reach Chetumal from Cancun, Tulum Airport, Tulum City, and Bacalar, as well as from many other cities along the Mayan Train route. Please check the Mayan Train schedule here: MAYAN TRAIN.
¿What happens when it rains?
It’s important to remember that you are traveling to a jungle environment. For plants to thrive, they need quite a bit of rain. While we often enjoy sunny days, there are passing showers that cleanse and revitalize the area. Plan for the weather to change daily and remember that you are visiting a place that depends on weather, not only for the cenotes but also for the rich flora of the area.
¿How far is the Private Club of the Kokoro Mío Lagoon?
The Private Lagoon Club is only 1.3 kilometers (less than a mile) from the hotel and can be reached on foot in 20 minutes, by bicycle in 10 minutes (provided by the hotel), or by car in 5 minutes. We can arrange transportation, picnic baskets, and beverages so you can spend a full day relaxing by the lagoon.
¿Is the hotel for adults only?
Currently, we do not accept children at the hotel. Take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy your stay with your partner and/or friends, as we are sure your children will enjoy their extended stay with grandparents at home. We have a 2-bedroom Villa that can accommodate a family with children, which is next to the hotel, but unfortunately we cannot share the hotel amenities with this accommodation option.
